More than 200 people have been killed and at least 20 injured in a coltan mine collapse in the African country of the Republic of Congo,
Lumumba Kambere Muisa, a spokesman for the country's rebel-controlled government, said.

The area has been under the control of the AFC/M23 rebel group since 2024. The accident occurred last Wednesday. The exact number of casualties in the incident was not known as of yesterday evening.
